Rolled out to the farm earlier this week is Blender 5.0. Loads of cool stuff in that build for Blenderheads, so check it out. We also released some incremental updates to several Cinema 4D instances. Most notably, the Redshift build deployed in C4D 2024 and newer is now much more current. There were a few other bits and bytes updated as well, details in the kbase.
In order to enable the newest Blender build, we had to roll out a new agent. That was done on Thursday of this week, for both Mac and Windows. The latest agent version is 4.12. Mac users may notice increased throughput when uploading and downloading data, as the 4.12 agent should do a better job of reporting power needs to the underlying MacOS. We’ve already seen some Mac users showing far greater throughput than with older agents.
